We’re Hiring
-
Location: Portland, OR
Start Date: FlexibleAbout Us
Little by Little Interiors is a boutique design studio creating homes that feel considered, lived-in, and full of character. Our work blends functionality with beauty — layering textures, tones, and thoughtful details to create spaces that tell our clients’ stories. We’re a small but passionate team that believes in collaboration, creativity, and enjoying the process as much as the outcome.
The Role
We’re looking for a part-time interior designer to join our team and support ongoing residential projects. You’ll work closely with Julia and our Design Lead to develop concepts, source products, and bring ideas to life through drawings, presentations, and styling. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a boutique studio environment, enjoys variety, flexible working hours, and loves the hands-on side of design.
Responsibilities
Develop and refine design concepts and mood boards
Source furniture, fixtures, and finishes
Prepare layouts, construction drawings, and digital presentations
Communicate with clients, suppliers, and trades
Support with on-site styling and installations
Keep project details, samples, and documents beautifully organized
What We’re Looking For
At 2 years of interior design experience, ideally with a focus on residential projects (high-end or bespoke experience a plus)
Strong technical skills — confident creating and reading construction drawings
A solid understanding of FF&E and the ability to curate pieces that feel both timeless and personal
A degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Canva, Google Suite, and SketchUp, with polished digital presentation skills
An exceptional eye for detail — you notice the millimetre differences that make a room sing
A proactive, can-do attitude — you’re resourceful, dependable, and love finding solutions
Comfortable working in a fast-moving, creative environment where priorities can shift and collaboration is key
A genuine passion for design — you care about the story behind a space, not just how it looks
Nice to Have
A good sense of humor
Experience working with small or boutique studios
Based near Portland, OR — though remote work is possible for the right fit
How to Apply
If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you. Please send your CV, portfolio, and a short note about why you’d be a great fit to hello@littlebylittleinteriors.com
